Built by Tom, the trash can like Doks serve as a piloted, more hands on and battle ready version of the Clydes.
They can be used to move, shoot, and pick things up, as well as open doors, and pretty much everything that a Clyde can't do (basically since a Clyde is just a camera man). After Tom’s experience with the Intruder, he felt it was necessary to build some robots that could do more dangerous work and/or combat needed, and the ever so fragile Clydes just weren't cutting it. Equipped with hands, weapons, and thrusters, Doks can fly into dangerous situations in swarms making it extremely hard for the opposing force to come out victorious.
They were used by the people of earth during the ‘Lockdown’ incident, after the Absolution was caught in a tractor beam which rendered them useless and unable to control the Doks. Because of their ability to be remotely piloted, they disabled the tractor beam and allowed Tom, Sara, and the Absolution escape the clutches of that dubious trash compactor.
It is unknown whether the DOKs still reside in the Absolution. They were last seen during the Trapped in Hyperspace event, in which Swazak took over the Absolution and sent it on a collision course with earth. Since that time, that particular version of the ship was destroyed and a new one constructed; though whether Tom or the droids from Orcelot Rex's ship rebuilt the DOKs after, continues to be an unknown.
