MÄR

When Ginta, an average 14-year-old boy, is suddenly transported through a mysterious portal into a fairy tale realm, he must discover whether the World of MÄR is real, or mearly a creation of his overactive imagination. In MÄR, Ginta has super human strength and discovers Babbo - a talking magical weapon knows as an ARM. Together, Ginta and Babbo embark on a quest to save the World of MÄR from total domination by the evil chess pieces, discovering friends and allies along the way.

MÄR was created by Nobuyuki Anzai, and initially joined the Toonami ranks as one of the launch titles for Tooanmi's online broadcast block - Toonami Jetstream. The series joined the On-Air block on December 23rd, 2006 at 10.5pm. MÄR's addition to the on-air Toonami block suggests that the series was popular amongst viewers of it's run on Jetstream, and was a nice surprise to fans despite the odd timeslot.
