The Venture Brothers

The Venture Brothers are two all-American teens who spend most of their time hopping from one adventure to the next. Along with their caustic and self-centered father, Dr. Venture, the brothers have the uber-spy Brock Samson to protect them and the robot H.E.L.P.eR to, well...help them. Besets on all sides, the Venture Brothers do all they can just to make it out alive!

Primarily a parody of Jonny Quest, the Venture Brothers also satirizes The Hardy Boys, Scooby Doo, Superhero comic books, B-Movie science fiction/horror films, and popular culture. Met with mixed reaction from Adult Swim viewers when the pilot aired on February 16, 2003, the series was green lit and the first season started airing on August 07, 2004. Overtime The Venture Brothers developed a dedicated fanbase and Adult Swim ordered a second season which premiered on June 25, 2006. A third season of 26 episodes is in production and is tentatively set to air late 2007/early 2008.

  • The actual airdate and production order for most episodes differ. Episodes are created as ideas come to the writers, sometimes not in the best order for actually watching the show. The episode list reflects the order in which the episodes first aired, representing the intended viewing order.

  • Race Bannon (of the classic Jonny Quest TV series) appears in the episode "Ice Station - Impossible!" Originally Jackson Publick wanted to use a Race Lookalike, but upon learning that Cartoon Network owns the rights to Jonny Quest, the real character was used instead. Likewise, Jonny Quest himself appears in the second season episode "Twenty Years to Midnight"

  • The Impossible Family is a homage/parody of Marvel Comic’s Fantastic Four.
